Study Methodology

The Hospital Value Index™ is designed by Data Advantage to give an aggregate measure of three axes of Hospital Value:  

  • Quality of its care, including core processes and patient safety;
  • Efficiency of its care and affordability, including the prices it charges; and
  • Experience encountered by its patients as measured by patient satisfaction.

In addition, market-specific data on reputation of local hospitals are presented.

All data used in the Hospital Value Index™ study are publicly available. Data Advantage did not use any proprietary data in compiling the Hospital Value Index™, including that owned and collected by Data Advantage for other business purposes.
